This assembly is part of the Easter story. It’s a moment recorded in all four gospels (Matthew 21:1-11, Mark 11:1-11, Luke 19:28-44, and John 12:12-19) when Jesus makes a triumphal entrance on a donkey in to Jerusalem. It is celebrated on Palm Sunday the week before Easter Sunday.
This assembly focuses on the Easter Story. This assembly recognises that Christians know Jesus was the King and that just like the crowds in Jesus’ time celebrated, Easter is a time when Christians celebrate.
