In this assembly we will be exploring part of Elijah’s story. By the time we meet him, Elijah has already stopped rainfall, miraculously provided for a widow and has brought a boy back to life! The story we will explore is his epic face off with the prophets of Baal (a false god that Israel had begun to worship). God’s people had moved away from the one true God, but Elijah was going to help bring them back with a showdown on a mountain to see whose God is true!
Today’s value is trust. We will be exploring Elijah’s unwavering trust in God, even though the majority had turned their backs on him, because they could not see his presence.
