This story appears in the Old Testament and forms part of the story of Israel.
This assembly explores the story of Mordecai, a Jew who rose to an important position working for the King. He uncovered a plot to kill the king which he told Esther; this saved the King’s life. Haman, one of the King’s servants, demanded everyone bow down to him. Mordecai, knowing that this was wrong, stayed true to himself and refused. This assembly focuses on the value of courage and what it means to stay true to who we are and what we believe.
